:: The U PLAN Landscape Pack

U PLAN is using the internet and email to provide you with professional and detailed landscape designs for your garden at a price you can afford.

For only $835 we complete a detailed concept showing the layout of your garden. This includes areas and styles of softscape (Lawns, garden beds, shrubs etc), hardscape (paving, pathways, decks). We also suggest the locations and syles of fencing, walling, garden edging etc.

Also included in your Landscape Pack is a list of trees, shrubs, groundcovers, grasses and other plants that are suitable for your climatic location. On your plan we suggest what style and height of plants to use, these suggestions will cross reference with the plant list. The final choice is best made by you, often whilst looking at the plants available (or on special) in your nearest professional nursery or garden centre.

To complete the pack we give you a set of relevant DIY notes, a guide to completing the garden construction and a simple shopping list of the materials you are likely to need to purchase, or if you prefer a guide to employing a landscape contractor and a sample contract to help you do so.

::How do we design your new home garden?

It's simple

Download the Landscape Pack Brief/questionaire CLICK HERE

Complete it with as much detail as possible

Return by email, fax or post, along with some photos of the project site

Email fax or send the site plan for your new house and lot (Or ask your builder/architect to email it to us. Ask then to send an AutoCAD file DWG or DXF if possible)

We will call and/or email you to discuss your needs and clarify any points and discuss solutions to problem areas

We will ask for full payment at this stage which can be by electronic transfer, cheque or postal order

We work on your landscape design and suggested layout, emailing you a draft plan within 2 weeks

Once you have had a chance to think through the draft, we talk further, again by phone or the email

Amendments are made as necessary to your plan to finalise the design

When the design is final, we prepare the remainder of your Landscape Pack, with the Planting Lists, DIY Notes, Shopping List and other information

This is all emailed direct to you for immediate download and printing at home. Colour copies of your plan are also printed here at an A3 size and sent by post for that extra detailed finish.

:: A few important notes

  • These designs are detailed conceptual layouts with additional information supplied to assist you in construction.
  • They are not intended to be used for Council Planning or similar purposes. We do offer a design service which does cover this. Contact us for more details
  • We have to limit lot sizes to approximately 1200 sqm. If your lot is larger, call us to discuss what we can do and how we can help
  • If your lot slopes to 1:20 or more, you are likely to need somebody to come to site and complete a more detailed assessment. Let us know we can put you in contact with your nearest professional Landscape Architect or Designer
  • For a "normal" residential lot we include more than enough information for you to build your garden yourself or employ a contractor. We have found with final choices of plants and colours clients generally want to do this themselves using our plan and planting lists. This is often whilst standing in your local garden centre or nursery looking at the plants available and their colours, form, texture and of course prices!
  • Full planting plans, detailed construction or engineering designs are not included in this pack. Should you need these, please just let us know and we will help where we can (additional costs may apply), or we will guide you in the right direction
