Steve Moss, as principal of U PLAN, brings over 30 years experience in landscape construction, design and planning to this professional and dynamic operation that is regarded by many as a leader in landscape architecture and related project services.
A Registered Landscape Architect, Steve completed his Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture at Melbourne University in 1983. From there, he quickly established a diverse career working in the public, private, education and environmental sectors.
In 1995 Steve established his own environmental business in Townsville "Excellent Environs" continuing through until 1998. He established the very successful U PLAN in the Whitsunday's in 2000.
Steve has developed a reputation for pioneering projects outside the realms of traditional landscape architecture and is skilled at leading multi-disciplinary project teams in order to achieve the best outcomes for his client, other relevant project stakeholders and the community. He has strong and effective affiliations Australia-wide with other specialist consultants due to his depth of experience and recognized success as a Landscape Architect.
He is committed to delivering professional, innovative standards of excellence on behalf of his client at all times. He relishes the challenge of landscape architectural projects that require his skills in planning, design, management, implementation and maintenance.
Continued professional development is important to Steve and he continues to access relevant courses to keep him abreast of environmental, landscape architectural and related business trends and issues.
Recognition by his professional peers has led to being guest keynote speaker on occasion for the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects. He has lectured Landscape Architecture at University of Melbourne. He has also been engaged as an expert advisor on several large environmental projects including WA Department of Conservation and Land Management, Landscape Advisor to Coastal Management and Co-ordination Committee, Advisor to Murray Darling Basin Commission and Mineral Springs Advisory Committee.
Along with his commitment to his family and community, being an avid adventurer in the Whitsunday's region, another of Steve's strong passions is environmental issues. For this reason, he has throughout his career, been actively involved in community related environmental projects such as "Clean Up Australia", Spring Planting Festivals, and is past president of the Volunteer Marine Rescue Whitsunday. |
